Ambulatory Surgery Centers

MED-REC SYSTEMS offers services to free-standing and hospital-based ambulatory surgery centers. Services include health information consulting,
in-service training and CPT and
ICD-9-CM coding reviews. We also provide assistance with analysis and organization of the clinical records to include review of the policies and procedures.

Physician Offices

MED-REC SYSTEMS offers services to physician providers. Services include health information consulting, CPT and ICD-9-CM supportive documentation reviews, and coding education and training for physicians and staff. We provide assistance with analysis and organization of the clinical records to include review of the policies and procedures.

MED-REC SYSTEMS specializes in providing quality health information consulting to long term care facilities, free-standing and hospital-based ambulatory surgery centers, physician practices, hospitals, home health agencies, and dialysis centers in Indiana and the surrounding states.  Highly qualified AHIMA credentialed health information consultants assist in the development of effective health information systems for the facilities we service. 

We are committed to the professional advancement of health information management standards of practice protocols using knowledge and expertise in medical recordkeeping and electronic health records. Educational programs are offered which include training workshops throughout the year and facility specific in-services. Our services are tailored to each facility’s needs.

 

Workshops

MED-REC SYSTEMS offers several workshops throughout the year for the long term care industry. These workshops focus on basic medical record instruction, MDS 3.0 completion, and ICD-9-CM coding.

ICD-10-CM workshops will be offered for long term care, ambulatory surgery centers and physician offices beginning in 2013. Our instructors are certified ICD-10-CM trainers through the AHIMA Academy for ICD-10-CM.
