MED-REC SYSTEMS has provided consulting services to long term care facilities since 1984 when it was founded by Bernice Ulrich Campbell, RHIA and Mary Ann Michau, MS, RHIA. The company continues to be a leader in the field with dedication to quality service, which has been the reason for growth over the years to expand throughout the state of Indiana and into the surrounding states. Over the years our services have expanded to include ambulatory surgery centers, physician offices, home health agencies, dialysis centers in addition to providing workshops specific to the advancement of the industry.

RHIA/RHIT Defined
Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) and Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), formerly known as Registered Record Administrator (RRA) and Accredited Registered Technician (ART), are professionals accredited by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) who specialize in all aspects of health information management.

OWNERS
Nancy Bensen, RHIA, a co-owner of Med-Rec Systems, is credentialed as a Registered Health Information Administrator. She received her Bachelor of Science in Health Information Administration at Indiana University. As a Med-Rec Systems consultant since 1996, Nancy provides consulting services in the areas of long term care, ambulatory surgery centers and physicians’ offices. Nancy is a member in good standing with the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Nancy is a certified ICD-10-CM trainer through the AHIMA Academy for ICD-10.
Linda Wolfe, RHIA, CCS-P, a co-owner of Med-Rec Systems, is credentialed as a Registered Health Information Administrator and a Certified Coding Specialist-Physician-based with the American Health Information Management Association. She received her Bachelor of Science in Health Information Administration at Indiana University. As a Med-Rec Systems consultant since 1996, Linda provides consulting services in the areas of ambulatory surgery centers and physicians’ offices. She also has experience and knowledge in long term care. Linda is a member in good standing with the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Linda is a certified ICD-10-CM trainer through the AHIMA Academy for ICD-10.
OFFICE STAFF
Jennifer Miller has provided office management expertise with Med-Rec Systems since joining us in 2009. Jennie is currently the office manager.
Barbara Williams has provided office management expertise with Med-Rec Systems since 1998. Barbara is currently the company’s transcriptionist and assistant office manager.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT STAFF
Mary Ann Chamberlin has provided technical support services for Med-Rec Systems since 1984. Mary Ann initially started with the company as the office manager. Mary Ann is currently providing the Med-Rec Systems technical support services, assisting facilities with their medical record responsibilities. She also helps with the office responsibilities, when needed.
CONSULTANTS
Patsy Baker, RHIA, RAC-CT, is credentialed as a Registered Health Information Administrator. She received her Bachelor of Science in Health Information Administration at Indiana University. Patsy is also credentialed as a Resident Assessment Coordinator-Certified with the American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordinators. Patsy provided consulting services with Med-Rec Systems since 1993, consulting in long term care facilities. She currently continues as an educator for the Med-Rec Systems workshops. Patsy is a member in good standing with the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
Kimberly Clodfelter, RHIA, is credentialed as a Registered Health Information Administrator. She received her Bachelor of Science in Health Information Administration at Indiana University. Kimberly has provided consulting services with Med-Rec Systems since 1991, consulting in long term care facilities, ambulatory surgery centers, physicians’ offices, and dialysis centers. Kimberly is a member in good standing with American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
Barbara Crawford, RHIA, is credentialed as a Registered Health Information Administrator. She received her Bachelor of Science in Health Information Administration at Indiana University and her Bachelor of Arts in Nutrition at San Diego State University. Barbara has provided consulting services with Med-Rec Systems since 1986, consulting in long term care facilities. Barbara is a member in good standing with American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
Diana Eggiman, RHIA, CCS-P, is credentialed as a Registered Health Information Administrator. She received her Bachelor of Science in Health Information Administration at Indiana University. Diana is also a Certified Coding Specialist-Physician-based with the American Health Information Management Association. As a Med-Rec Systems consultant since 1985, Diana provides consulting services in the areas of ambulatory surgery centers and physicians' offices. Diana is a member in good standing with American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
Dana Schmelter, MPA, RHIA, is credentialed as a Registered Health Information Administrator. She received her Masters of Public Administration at Indiana University and her Bachelor of Science in Health Information Administration at York College of Pennsylvania. Dana has provided consulting services with Med-Rec Systems since 1988, providing consulting services for dialysis centers, ambulatory surgery centers, long term care facilities and physicians’ offices. Dana is a member in good standing with American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
Stephanie Stephen, RHIT, is credentialed as a Registered Health Information Technician. She received her Associate of Science in Health Information Technology at Indiana University. Stephanie has provided consulting services with Med-Rec Systems since 1995, consulting in long term care facilities. Stephanie is a member in good standing with American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
Mary Kay Sterrett, RHIA, is credentialed as a Registered Health Information Administrator. She received her Bachelor of Science in Health Information Administration at Indiana University. Mary Kay has provided consulting services with Med-Rec Systems since 1990, consulting in ambulatory surgery centers and physicians’ offices. Mary Kay is a member in good standing with American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
Amanda Straw, RHIT, is credentialed as a Registered Health Information Technician. She received an Associate Degree in Health Information Technology at Vincennes University in 2000. Amanda provides consulting services for ambulatory surgery centers and long term care facilities. Amanda is a member in good standing with American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
